These are made of cotton -- not jute!  Jute is a cheaper material and does not have the nice look and feel of cotton. We believe in well-crafted products and attention to detail.  One example is our stair treads.  The edges take a beating, so we stitch them twice, for double protection against unraveling.  FREE SHIPPING on stair treads - Only available in cotton braids.  Use double sided carpet tape or carpet tacks to adhere to the stairs (not included).  Professionally clean or spot clean with mild soap & water.
